Are the Global Back Care programs a quick fix?
Nope! Critical in all of this is the fact that you can’t expect a quick fix. Most joint and muscle pain has probably been in the making for a long time. It’s taken years for tight muscles and weak muscles to gradually draw the skeleton out of alignment.
In short you’ve been waiting for an incident to happen. The incident is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Often it involves people doing something that others in good musculo-skeletal health take in their stride.
Of course accidents are different, but it can still take a long time for the damage to be repaired – with constant strength and flexibility exercises.
So, it can be safely said that most joint and muscle pain doesn’t happen over night, in which case you can’t expect it to become painless over night either.
In my experience it’s going to take months not weeks.
But however long it takes, the sooner you make a start, the sooner you’ll experience the benefits. The more time you can spend each and every day doing the exercises, the greater the chances of a speedy recovery.
If you were an elite athlete you’d spent 10 or more hours a day in a rehab environment. If fixing up your back, knee or hip is one of your highest priorities then maybe if you took a few weeks off work and concentrated on fixing yourself up you’d get the best results.
If you sign up for this program it could take a couple of months for you to really feel the benefits, but in 10 years time, you’ll be able to look back and say it was a couple of months well spent.
That’s what happened to me when I herniated a disc in my back in November 1994. I put up with the pain for six years until September 2000 when I started doing two hours serious stretching every night. After two months I was pain free. Twenty years later and I’m still pain free and a 20 minute routine, three times a week is enough to keep me that way.
So, if you’re time poor, just remember that the flexibility part of your rehab program can be done in the evening while you’re watching TV.
Are our programs a quack fix?
Nope, they’re the real deal.
When it comes to the diagnosis and treatment of joint and muscle pain, the medical industry calls a strength and flexibility training program ‘alternative medicine’. It’s a professional backhander if ever there was.
If you troll through the medical research and medical industry back pain websites you’ll be scratching to find a single exercise. The words ‘skeletal’, ‘misalignment’, ‘strength’ and ‘flexibility’ don’t even rate a mention in their position statements.
The medical industry will tell you what you already know, that your pain is coming from a herniated disc or arthritis, but only on the rarest of occasions will it track down the underlying cause of the disc tear or the bone inflammation. This industry has only two weapons – a scalpel and a drug.
It’s pretty much the same in the workers compensation arena. 80% of payouts for people with joint and muscle pain go to people in dreadful physical condition, who claim to have been ‘injured’ doing things normal fit and healthy people do all the time without breaking down.
In a nutshell, most joint and muscle pain is a fitness problem, not a medical problem and if you’ve got a fitness problem, fix it with a fitness solution.
There’s nothing alternative about a strength and flexibility training program and it’s definitely got nothing to do with medicine. The Global Back Care programs are designed to restore poor function to good by getting the bones on either side of a joint back into better alignment and the muscles around the joint stronger.
Just taking a drug and expecting things to clear up is an example of junk medicine. You may need a drug to calm down inflammation or speed up the rehab process but it can’t be the only thing.
Also you can’t solve a fitness problem with a rub down or a crunch at the site of the pain.
What would be ‘alternative’ is taking a drug to mask the pain and pretend that the problem is not going to get worse.
Is this a Cheap Fix?
Yep, it sure is. You can purchase each of our ebooks for not much more than a cup of coffee and a meat pie.
Is there a catch?
Yep to that as well. I can give you the exercises but I can’t do them for you.
80:80:80:80
I have the belief that for 80% of people there’s an 80% chance they can get their joints and muscles back to 80% of good condition – or better in around 80 days. Most people would be happy with these odds.
But I’ll be straight with you, for some people this program may not work, for any number of reasons, the principal one being the condition is too far gone.
How qualified am I to give you this advice?
I’ve been in the physed, fitness, corporate health and wellbeing arena for over 50 years. I developed the CrookBack Clinic strength and flexibility rehab program while running a fitness centre. I currently conduct the Global Back Care musculo-skeletal health program for corporate organisations.
Over the years I’ve had the usual back pain, neck pain, hip pain, knee pain, Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis and worked out how get rid of it. Hippocrates said, ‘The physician speaks with more authority if he’s had the disease.’
I’m not a physician, just a physical educator and fitness practitioner, but I’ve had the ‘disease.’ I know what joint and muscle pain is like and I want to pass my experiences on to you in the expectation that you’ll give the exercises I have for you a red hot go.
Here’s what I’m going to do for you.
I’m going to give you a set of exercises that gets your skeleton into better alignment and better supported by the muscles that hold it in better alignment.
I’m going to save you a fortune pouring money into the pockets of therapists.
I’m going to teach you to become your own therapist.
I’m going to show you how you can make an immediate start on relieving your pain.
If you are uncertain whether this is the program for you, send me an email (using the contact form) and tell me a bit about your condition, where it hurts and what you think caused it. Give me 24 hours and I’ll get back to you.
