Diagnosing The Causes Of Back Pain

If You Are Diagnosing The Causes Of Back Pain

Where can you go to get an assessment of the cause of your back pain?

This is something you can do yourself by conducting a Clinical Diagnostic Assessment of just how flexible and strong you are. If it sounds simple, it is.

Is there a way I can work out what's causing my back pain?

The short answer is, 'Yes'. All you need to do is find out which tight muscles have taken your skeleton out of alignment and which weak muscles are not supporting your skeleton as it goes about every day tasks. Basically you've got a fitness problem. A well trained fitness practitioner can help you with the analysis.

And Looking For Clues

Here are a few clues to look for when people say they’ve got back, neck and shoulder pain and want to blame work.

Diagnosing The Causes Of Back Pain with a diagnostic inability to sit up straightWhen buttock muscles are too tight, you can’t sit up straight. The bones up the spinal column are pulled out of alignment. You can’t blame work for that one!

wall sit away from wallWhen hamstring muscles are too tight, people can’t sit up straight against a wall. The pelvis and bones above it are pulled out of alignment. You can’t blame work for that one, either!

cross overThe muscles on one side of the body are so tight you have trouble putting your knee and foot on the floor when doing the hip crossover. That’s not an injury!

neck out of alignmentWhen standing with your back to the wall, you must tilt your head to look up at the ceiling to get it back on the wall.

You’ve got a vertical stacking problem.

You’re so weak you can’t do a situp or a press-up.

You’re more than 50 kg overweight.

In the meantime, stay tuned, visit the Clinical Diagnostic Assessment page, and continue doing the strength and flexibility exercises until you get better.

Regards and best wishes
