Back Pain is a Symptom
Musculoskeletal pain is a symptom of the body being out of alignment. Shooting the messenger with a painkiller will not fix the underlying problem.
I’ll repeat that back, neck, hip, knee, and shoulder pain is a symptom of bones being out of alignment, a symptom of muscles somewhere being weak, and a symptom of muscles somewhere being too tight. That’s why manipulating the spot where it’s sore or taking a pill to mask the pain are inadequate treatments. They don’t restore poor function to good.
Misalignment
As an ecosystem, the body tolerates quite a degree of skeletal misalignment before pain. You could be teetering over the edge of a cliff, pain-free, but 99% of your way to herniating a disk without knowing it.
Then, all it takes is a gentle zephyr to tip you over the edge into the back pain abyss.
Ironically, most people will put up with a lot of pain before they’ll do something about it. Usually, they want someone to do something to them to fix them up. That’s nonsense; you have to do something to yourself.
If you’re more robust than the average bear, your musculature will support misalignment for longer than if you’re weak. Hence, the injunction is to keep your body strong and to have a regular and systematic strength training program. Very few people got stronger sitting in a chair during surgery, and fewer had their strength measured.
Get yourself a copy of the Fix Back Pain series of ebooks and do something to get yourself back into alignment.
In the meantime, stay highly tuned, start training and get your body back in alignment.
